Julia Michaels and JP Saxe break up following three years together

The musicians Julia Michaels and JP Saxe opted to end their relationship.

Michaels, 28, and Saxe, 29, are splitting up after three years of dating, multiple sources confirmed to People on Thursday.

DailyMail.com has reached out to a representative for Michaels for comment.

Julia and JP’s relationship was born from their collaboration on the 2019 ballad If The World Was Ending. Although they cowrote the track, it was credited to Saxe, with Michaels listed as the featured artist.

The song reached number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and ultimately sold more than three million units in the US.

The song’s success continued with the singers earned a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year, which is specifically awarded to songwriters, rather than the performing artists, though Michaels and Saxe did double duty on the track.

The singer–songwriters launched their relationship shortly after collaborating on the song, and they were driven closer to each other while quarantining together at the start of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Breakup rumors had been swirling around the couple since earlier this month, when they shared dueling social media posts that appeared to reveal breakup songs in the works.

Starting on September 9, Saxe posted a video of himself singing and playing acoustic guitar on a park bench, with the lyrics written on screen.

‘When you think of me / Are you setting fire to every memory? / Do you believe what doesn’t last forever don’t mean anything?’ he sang, which led some fans to speculate that his relationship with Michaels had gone south.

‘Cause I swear I loved you fully / And I’m sorry not for staying who we thought I’d be,’ he continued. ‘When you think of me, am I just another man who leaves?’

Michaels initially seemed to reply via since-deleted lyrics that were apparently captured in a fans TikTok video that also explained rumors of a breakup.

‘You’re just another man / And this is just another doorway / Using promises like they’re some kind of twisted fore play,’ read Michaels’ alleged lyrics. ‘You keep saying that you’re staying / When we both know that’s not your forte.’

‘Cut to: you give me one last kiss / And leave your keys there in the foyer / And say you’re sorry / You never meant to hurt me like you do / Well I’m sorry to me too,’ the song continued. ‘For all the love I wasted on you / Baby I’m sorry to me / Sorry to me too.’

Saxe returned to Instagram after her post and shared another set of lyrics on his main Instagram page.

‘I hate myself for hurting you / but it would make it worse to fix it / I wish I’d figured out a way / of keeping myself in it,’ he wrote.

‘I hate how I lived up to / your worst fears / makes it worse / how it worked / so well for three years / and it could all be for the best in the end / but for now it feels like losing my best friend.’

Michaels seemed to escalate the dueling breakup songs with another performance posted to her Instagram that featured her at the piano, which she captioned ‘A******s live forever.’

She sang and played her piano while running through the lyrics she had previously published.

On Wednesday, Saxe shared a clip of himself walking past a burning sofa, which promoted the September 23 release of the song and video for his single When You Think Of Me.

Michaels had another statement to make, and she returned to TikTok on Wednesday with her own video, which showed her looking somber in a hoodie while an unreleased breakup song that she had recorded played on the soundtrack.

The Project: Carrie Bickmore apologises for erratic behaviour, blunders

Carrie Bickmore admitted to having ‘lost the plot’ after making multiple blunders while hosting The Project on Tuesday night.

The 41-year-old stammered and stumbled over her lines several times, with her fellow panelists remarking on her strange and erratic behaviour.

After the chaotic broadcast, she posted a compilation of her gaffes on Instagram and apologised to viewers for her mistakes.

‘I lost the plot on tonight’s show… and this is only a small sample of the mayhem… I blame [co-host] Kate Langbroek. Sorry, everyone!’ she wrote.

Her first mistake came when she repeatedly slipped over her words while trying to introduce Guardian Australia political reporter Amy Remeikis.

‘She joins us ow – now,’ she stuttered. ‘Sorry, I’m really struggling tonight!’

She later asked Remeikis: ‘Amy, what do you think – do you think this has the capacity to see some big head roll – some big heads roll?’

After this gaffe, she buried her head in her hands in embarrassment.

Comedian Peter Helliar later joked that an alarm in the background of the taping was coming from the ‘minibar’ in Bickmore’s dressing room.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Bickmore was under the influence of alcohol.

Also during the show, Bickmore blurted out to Langbroek and guest panelist Dr Chris Brown that she’d ‘never found a lost dog’.

Bickmore burst out laughing, which prompted Helliar to joke again: ‘Our producers are telling us pre-show drinks are cancelled! No more, no more.’

Langbroek, who was filling in for host Waleed Aly, wrote on Instagram after the show: ‘I’m still not sure what happened tonight.’

Fox FM presenter Fifi Box commented, ‘This is sooooooooooo funny,’ while KIIS FM host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson added: ‘This is the best, Carrie!!!!’

Yellowstone’s Cole Hauser hints Rip will find out about Jamie and Beth past in season 5

Despite being a pivotal cog in John Dutton’s (played by Kevin Costner) ranch since he was young teen, there is one piece of family history Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) is in the dark about. For four seasons of Paramount’s Yellowstone and despite now marrying his long-time sweetheart Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), he has no idea her adoptive brother Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) is the reason she can’t provide him with a baby.

The heartbreaking truth behind Beth’s inability to conceive wasn’t unveiled to Yellowstone fans until the third season.

Despite years of pure hatred and vitriol thrown Jamie’s way from Beth, fans were none the wiser as to exactly why there was such resentment up until this point.

Thanks to a flashback, it was revealed Jamie had taken Beth to an off-the-books clinic for an abortion after she fell pregnant with a young Rip.

However, he kept it hidden from her that she wouldn’t be able to bear children ever again after the procedure.

Beth’s traumatic childhood has hardened her into the no-holds-barred figure Yellowstone fans are so familiar with today.

Combined with the blame she’s been putting on herself for her part in the death of her mother Evelyn (Gretchen Mol) too, it’s no surprise Beth isn’t the most emotionally stable.

However, heading into season five, it finally sounds like she’ll have support from an outside force, case in point her new husband Rip.

And judging by new quotes from star Hauser, Beth’s internal struggles and past traumas may come into the limelight and into Rip’s knowledge.

“What I like about what [showrunner Taylor Sheridan] wrote is that he slow burns this year with me and Beth,” Hauser said.

He continued: “In the beginning, there are some wonderful moments between the two of us.

“(Then there’s) some stuff that she’s going through in her past, that she’s having to acknowledge for the first time, and me trying to help her through that,” the Yellowstone stat told Entertainment Weekly.

With Beth finally seeking help from someone else for her past, could it mean Rip will finally discover what Jamie did?

After all, Jamie isn’t exactly in the Duttons’ good books heading into season five, with John and Beth merely seeing him as a pawn to manipulate after blackmailing him for the part he played in Garrett Randall’s (Will Patton) death.

So if Beth confides in her new husband, it’s unlikely she’ll be thinking of sparing her adoptive sibling.

Rip is known to stop at nothing in order to protect Beth as well, even taking a bullet to the torso to protect her from the Beck brothers’ hitmen.

Should he discover what Jamie did to Beth, he may take deadly action as reparation for depriving the two of their dream family unit.

This wouldn’t be the first time the threat of Rip was used to send shivers down Jamie’s spine.

After she discovered Jamie knew his biological father was behind the season three assassination attempts on the Duttons, she blackmailed him into killing him off or she’d tell Rip.

So fearful of what Rip would do, Jamie killed his own father – but will season five see Rip finally take deadly action against him?

NCIS LA season 14 exposes Marty Deeks’ backstory as boss drops hint ‘It’s probably time’

Fans of the popular NCIS franchise have long been clamouring to find out more about LAPD liaison and newly appointed field agent Marty Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen). Although many other members of the NCIS: Los Angeles team have had whole episodes devoted to their backstory, Deeks still hasn’t had the chance, though that could be about to change when the CBS spin-off returns for its 14th season.

NCIS: LA showrunner Scott Gemmill has teased season 14 could finally feature the much-in-demand Deeks, M episode.

Throughout the show’s first 13 seasons, several core members of the team have had their origins revealed in special flashback episodes.

In the first season’s finale, Callen, G, started the tradition by focusing on team leader G Callen (Chris O’Donnell), whose whole backstory before joining the NCIS is still in the shadows.

However, despite becoming a fan-favourite member of the team, Deeks’ younger years have remained a mystery.

TV Line’s Matt Webb Mitovich has now confirmed: “As has become an annual tradition of sorts, I brought this question, again, to showrunner Scott Gemmill.

“This time he answered, ‘I think, actually, it’s probably time.

“‘I just have to make sure that Eric [Christian Olsen, who plays Deeks] doesn’t write it himself. He writes [an episode] usually once a year.’”

The latest update from showrunner Scott has thrilled many fans of the show, who are excited to finally learn more about the agent after well over a decade of speculation.

On Twitter, @kwanfan1212 exclaimed: “OMG, that long requested Deeks, M episode might be coming up on NCIS: LA this season!!”

@KRC1977 said: “Another season on #NCISLA, another teaser of the Deeks, M. episode happening this season. I’ll believe it when I see it lol!”

To which @cozmodog replied: “I hope we do finally get it. ECO should definitely be the one to write it.”

Instagram fan @wildemagi asked: “Who knows Deeks better than Mr Deeks himself?”

Although @debbiegnz suggested: “Oh and definitely Frank Military should write it. I always love his episodes.”

While @kathyfink65 simply replied with love heart and fire emojis and said: “About time.” (sic)

Frank Military has written and directed a number of episodes per season since the series began back in 2013.

He most recently helmed the penultimate episode of season 13, Down the Rabbit Hole.

The long-time writer has also made a guest appearance as David Kessler, a violent killer who has become a nemesis for Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah).

Kessler could make a return to make things difficult for Kensi and Deeks at some point this season.

With Frank still on-hand as both a writer and guest star, he could be the perfect man for the job to bring Deeks’ elusive origins to the screen.

Alternatively, Eric himself could be tasked to reveal his own character’s origins, as it still hasn’t been confirmed which episode he’ll be writing this year.

Even if the episode doesn’t come around this season, fans can at least take some encouragement from the showrunner that more conversations about Deeks, M are starting to be had.

Jennifer Garner, 50, looks younger than her years as she grabs coffee with friends

Jennifer Garner was spotted out with friends in Brentwood, while grabbing a morning cup of takeout coffee on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old actress opted for comfort during her outing, wearing a blue sweater and black sweat pants.

The Alias veteran chose to slip into a pair of blue sneakers to stay comfortable as she strolled alongside her friends with her coffee in hand.

The beauty appeared to be in high spirits during her coffee outing.

The Adam Project actress accessorized her ensemble by adding black sunglasses to block out the bright sun.

The 13 Going On 30 star may be one of Hollywood’s most famous and beloved actresses, but at the end of the day she is still a small town girl at heart, with a love for farming.

The star shared a sweet tribute to her uncle Robert. There was a video of the two working on their family farm in Oklahoma.

In the caption, she gave a sweet shout out to her uncle, revealing that he is an integral part of her foundation, Once Upon a Farm, which creates ‘farm-fresh’ snacks and meals for children.

She explained: ‘Robert lives on our family farm in Oklahoma where he and his wife, Janet, grow organic veggies for #OnceUponAFarm with love. They may be the smallest supplier to OFarm’s goods, but they over deliver on goodness and fun.’

The mother-of-three concluded the heartfelt tribute with: ‘Happy birthday, Uncle Robert, I can’t wait to be on the farm with you again soon.’

Last week she talked up her nature-based company Once Upon a Farm.

As Co-founder and Chief Brand Officer, she spoke at Fast Company’s 8th annual Innovation Festival in New York City on Thursday about what prompted her to join Once Upon a Farm early.

The ex of Ben Affleck also said the company has become massive: ‘The business has grown a lot. As a matter of fact, when we were here last time we were less than $1 million a year and now by the end of this year we’re in the $100 million dollars.’

Once Upon a Farm announced in March the closing of $52 million in Series D funding.

Now in over 11,000 retail stores in North America, and with a robust direct-to-consumer and ecommerce platform, Once Upon a Farm is expected to double again in 2022 based on broad consumer and market acceptance of their growing product portfolio that spans from first bites baby food to school snacking for kids, per PR Newswire in March.

She was also candid about the need for American baby food to measure up to Europe’s.

During the panel, Tiny Tastebuds: Delighting and Sustaining the Next Generation which also featured Once Upon a Farm’s other Co-founder and CEO, John Foraker, Jennifer explained why she got involved with Once Upon a Farm.

‘Once Upon a Farm was such a total no-brainer as a working mom. I remember coming home from work, I was shooting The Kingdom, I’d had my first baby,’ she said.

‘I remember having fake blood all over and just standing at the blender crying. I was so tired making food for my baby. And this would have been a no-brainer, game-changer, day-saver,’ she added.

Jennifer on the success of Once Upon a Farm: ‘The business has grown a lot. As a matter of fact, when we were here last time we were less than a million dollars a year and now by the end of this year we’re in the 100 million dollars.’

Jennifer on why American baby food should rise up to European quality: ‘Why should European babies get all the good stuff? Our kids deserve veggies; they deserve to have food that isn’t stacked with sugar, they deserve to have food that isn’t contaminated with plastics and heavy metals.’

Garner showcased her sense of business fashion as she stopped by The Fast Company Innovation Festival.

The Adam Project actress, 50, opted for an all-black ensemble, comprising of sleek black trousers and heels of the same color.

Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page moves into their ‘dream home’ in London

Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page have taken their relationship to the next level by moving into the couple’s first home together in London on Tuesday.

However Andrew, 27, took to his Instagram account to reveal to fans that he has done all the heavy lifting during the move.

The Love Island star told fans he is ‘buzzing’ despite being left to move alone while his girlfriend went to get her hair done.

Andrew said: ‘Today is moving day, buzzing. But guess what… I’m doing it all by myself because Tasha’s decided to go get her hair done.

‘Baffling. A day where we need to be together to do this. But, shock, she is getting her hair done. Anyway, this is a mess at the moment. But today is moving day.’

The ITV2 star gave fans a quick glimpse of the new home as he showed off box’s he had yet to unpack.

He added: ‘Alright people, we’ve officially moved in – even though I’ve done all the work.’

Andrew later filmed a clip with Tasha in the car as the pair went out to celebrate her new shoe launch and moving in together.

The Love Island finalists wasted no time in finding their ‘dream’ two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in London, with Tasha, 24, describing the commitment as a ‘fresh start.’

The couple first shared their moving news in an exclusive interview with MailOnline, where Tasha also admitted they have already discussed getting married.

She also revealed that taking part in the dating show’s ‘baby challenge’ proved to her that she would like to have children one day – after previously believing they weren’t in her future.

Tasha said: ‘Andrew and I are officially moving in together and it’s our dream home. It’s in east London and we are moving in two weeks.

‘I am so excited because so far Andrew has been living with me in my flat with my best friend and now it’s the perfect time to have a fresh start, just me and Andrew together, to be able to go home and it’s just the two of us… I’m really excited.

‘We have lots of space in our new flat. It’s a two bedroom flat with two bathrooms, it has a nice balcony, it’s modern, a new build.

‘I’ve started shopping, getting fresh bedding, candles, I want to put pictures on the walls and things like that – I can’t wait.’

Tasha reflects on her time in the Love Island villa as being a ‘mixed experience’ but says meeting boyfriend Andrew made her ‘rollercoaster journey’ worthwhile.

After already teasing fans with a potential engagement that could happen within the year, Tasha explained she’s always dreamed of marrying at a young age and is guilty of getting ‘carried away’ imagining the moment Andrew proposes.

However, she didn’t always see children in her future, confessing that it was Love Island’s famous baby challenge and growing attached to the couple’s son Leo that proved to her she could one day become a mum.

She said: ‘I told Andrew it’s up to you if you want to propose. It’s in his hands.

‘The reason why we’re thinking like that is because we’re both so excited and we’re enjoying our time together. It’s the kind of love that you just want to do it, it gets me excited if I talk about it. I get way ahead of myself but it’s up to Andrew isn’t it?

‘Even before Love Island I always wanted to get engaged and married young, which has always been my dream.

‘Having kids hasn’t been in my head, nothing personal against children but I didn’t see it in my plans.

‘But when I met Andrew and we had the baby challenge I could start to envisage it, but I said to him that would be many, many, many, years down the line.

‘I remember waking up to the baby challenge and thinking ‘this is my worst nightmare’ but throughout the day I started getting attached to Leo, the baby, and I was like ‘what’s going on?’

The professional dancer became Love Island’s first deaf contestant this year and spoke on the show about having a cochlear implant, which is an electronic device, fitted when she was five-years-old.

After finding herself in the bottom three on multiple occasions Tasha broke down in tears – an emotional moment made worse by her former co-star Luca Bish who claimed she only cried because she wanted to win the series.

Tasha has explained that the real reason she broke down was because she felt like a failure in her mission to inspire people and raise awareness for the deaf community.

She said: ‘In the villa, I couldn’t have my own voice. I get emotional because having the cochlear implant is such a draining thing to have, it’s not an instant fix, and when I was in the bottom three, I felt like I wasn’t doing my job in inspiring people out there, which is why I got so emotional.

‘It wasn’t because I wanted to win or anything like that. I just felt like I wasn’t doing what I wanted to do, which was to inspire people and show them that you can do this.

‘Coming out of the villa I had a conversation with my dad and he warned me certain things that had been said, I didn’t experience any death threats but it was about the way that I speak, my cochlear implant, but if anything it gives me that fire and motivation.

‘If anything I am thankful for the negativity because they’re giving me that energy to use my voice even more. I won’t ever stop talking or raising awareness.’

Tasha revealed to her 1.4million fan base that she’s moving in with Andrew on Tuesday evening via a video posted to Instagram.

However, she didn’t speak in the clip and used British Sign Language to communicate the message and will follow up on Wednesday with a video that includes subtitles.

Working together with Cadbury Fingers and the National Deaf Children’s Society as part of the Sign with Fingers Big and Small campaign, Tasha wanted to demonstrate the difficulties that a deaf person can go through daily, especially when they aren’t included in conversations.

She also wants to encourage more people to learn British Sign Language so that the deaf community feels included in everyday life.

She explained: ‘Cadbury Fingers have partnered with the National Deaf Children’s Society to launch the Sign with Fingers campaign, which is about raising awareness for deafness and to increase many more opportunities for deaf and hearing people to come together and to learn to be who we are.

‘It’s all about showing that a little bit of BSL (British Sign Language) does go a long way.

‘Even before I got my implant, I was fluent in BSL, and I know exactly what it’s like to miss out on conversations.

‘Nowadays I still miss out on conversations… 39 per cent of hearing people do want to learn BSL but they don’t know where to start and they haven’t got the tools, so the campaign is bringing that to light and it’s amazing that Cadbury is doing this.’

She continued: ‘I am really passionate about this and even before going into the villa I tried to raise as much awareness as possible but now I have a platform, which I can use for the greater good.

‘The fact that I’m doing this now – I get emotional because it’s not spoken about enough, it’s overlooked, I did not expect to be working with Cadbury.’

CHRISTOPHER STEVENS reviews last night’s TV: C4’s apprentice PMs could learn a thing from Dizzy

    Make Me Prime Minister (C4)

    RATING: **

    Michael Palin: Into Iraq (C5)

    RATING: ****

Queen Victoria’s favourite prime minister, the adulterous Benjamin Disraeli, reportedly crowed on arrival in 10 Downing Street: ‘I have climbed to the top of the greasy pole.’

Dizzy was a womanising rascal with a secret love child, a writer who spent or lost his money faster than his books could earn. Of course, no one like that could ever lead the country today.

But his perception of politics as a great game fits exactly with the celebrification of Britain today.

His enemies accused him of being vain and shallow — just the qualities we most prize now. These days, Disraeli would win Love Island, then two general elections, and Celebrity Bake Off.

Politics is treated as a game by two of its most avid players, Labour ex-spin doctor Alastair Campbell and former Tory bigwig Baroness Warsi, in Make Me Prime Minister (C4).

The duo are mentors, but also political assassins to 12 wannabe Cabinet ministers who aspire to show they can lead the country.

Filmed in the marble halls of a stately building that’s meant to be No 10 but isn’t, it’s a bare-faced rip-off of The Apprentice — even copying the sequences where the rivals stride in awkward slow motion to their next appointment.

Each week, the candidates split into two parties and come up with a manifesto policy: this week, reform for primary schools.

The show falls flat for two reasons. The players, competing for a £25,000 first prize, all appear competent and well-informed about politics. They’re egotists but not idiots.

One of them, council official Jackie Weaver, has plenty of experience of the limelight as well as backroom chicanery.

And the judges display neither the sense of humour nor the sadism to be entertaining. For a man who preached that MPs live and die by the soundbite, Campbell managed to say nothing memorable for the whole hour.

The result was earnest but derivative, all the windbaggery of the campaign trail with none of the drama or nastiness.

It came alive only once, when 23-year-old prospective PM Darius, who came to the UK as a refugee from the Taliban when he was a baby, launched his playground policy by dancing with pupils around a maypole.

The Mail’s own Andrew Pierce was there with his notebook. ‘Skip faster,’ he demanded, and Darius dutifully zigzagged around the children.

Michael Palin was wading through the mess left by Campbell and his cronies on the second episode of Into Iraq (C5).

‘It certainly wasn’t the obvious place to visit,’ he admitted as he kicked his heels at yet another armed checkpoint, watched with suspicion by men with sunglasses, moustaches and sub-machine guns.

Visiting the site of a massacre where 1,700 teenagers were slaughtered by Isis in 2014, the 79-year-old traveller sighed: ‘I find my natural optimism taking a beating.’

But he bounced back, glowing with boyish enthusiasm as he marched up the 399 steps of the spiral minaret at the Great Mosque in Samarra.

And his Pythonish appreciation of the absurd couldn’t help relishing the contradictions of a country where security militias forbid filming, then lift the ban so they can take selfies when they spot a TV presenter.

‘I’ve been offered a job at the Department of Confusion,’ he announced at one government office. The post came with an upside-down desk, he fantasised, and his sole responsibility was to drink a cup of tea every 17 minutes.

Let’s hope this sinecure comes with its own Silly Walk.
