Galapagos Islands

Bay has one of the few coral reefs in the archipelago. Here, fish of all colors gets directly "for dinner" to the Galapagos penguins and sea lions. And in neighboring Elizabeth Bay, penguins share small islands with nesting pelicans who stock fish in caves.

San Salvador (Santiago, James)
On an island with an area of 585 sq. km, the entire coastal zone is made up of black, volcanic rocks that form underwater corners in which small multi-colored fish find refuge from enemies. For scuba diving, this place is truly unique. Fantastic forms of solidified lava contrast with the incomprehensible variety of colors of underwater inhabitants. The snow-white Sullivan Bay and James Bay are charming. Herons, finches, hawks, golden eagles live on the island. Black and black and yellow Galapagos corals, marine iguanas, reef sharks, killer whales, sea lions, sea horses and sea turtles are regulars in coastal waters.

On the way to the old sugar factory, you can see all six different vegetation zones, from low-growing desert to real pampas, presented in the Galapagos. The island is home to giant tortoises, fur seals, boobies and frigatebirds.

Santa Maria (Floreana, Charles)
On the way to the island, located in the southern part of the Galapagos Islands, sperm whales and killer whales can be seen in the water column, and dolphins frolic in the foam of the waves stretching behind the stern. Sea lions glide along the strong currents off Devil's Crown Islet. The coast near Point Cormorant is full of olivine crystals, and there are many pink flamingos in the neighboring lagoon. Shark Bay washes the shores at Point Cormorant. Relatively harmless reef sharks are found here, as well as whale sharks, up to 15 m long. The snow-white sand of the local beach was chosen by turtles, who nest here from December to May. In Post Office Bay there is a famous barrel, which in the XVIII century. whalers adapted to send mail.

Hispaniola (Hood)
Остров, средний по величине (61 кв. км), расположен на юге archipelago. Espanola is the only place in the world where wavy albatrosses nest. And the snow-white beaches were chosen by sea lions, seals, iguanas and mockingbirds.

Santa Fe (Barrington)
Thickets of prickly pear, colonies of sea lions, lizards and iguanas. Great place for snorkeling. An evolutionary miracle happened on the island - goats, due to the lack of fresh water on the island, tried sea water and now they drink it!

Genovesa (Tower)
The island is called the bird island - thousands of different birds live in Darwin Bay, formed as a result of a volcanic eruption. In the center of the island is a crater flooded with water. The rest of the island is fairly flat.

Rabida (Jervis)

Bartolome (Plaza)
On this small, moon-like island (1.2 sq. km), two sparkling horseshoe-shaped bays are separated by a narrow strip of rainforest. From the highest peak of the island to the west stretches the desert crescent section of Santiago, representing an uninhabited array of hardened black lava flows. However, this area contains a source of drinking water, which saved many pirates who lived in the Pirates' Cave from thirst. One of the most beautiful places in the archipelago is Pinnacle Rock with stunning views of the beautiful coffee-colored sandy beaches. The base of the rock is a favorite place for Galapagos penguins, sea lions, sea turtles (from January to March), lizards. And near the town of Puerto Egas, seals and killer whales frolic, swimming through an underwater tunnel between the open sea and two small bays with clear water.
